Fuzile has officially confirmed reports of his departure from National Treasury.

National Treasury Director General Lungisa Fuzile has resigned after twenty working at the treasury.

Fuzile has officially confirmed reports of his departure from National Treasury.

The DG’s contract was due to end in May 2018, but he, however, requested Gordhan for a redetermination of his contract with the exit date of 15 May 2017.

According to the treasury its outgoing DG and the new Finance Minister Malusi Gigaba are in discussions to ensure a smooth transition at Treasury.

Fuzile says his departure and that of his previous principals should not lead to a change of course as the mandate of Treasury.
