Kaizer chiefs coach Steve Kompela has confirmed that Brilliant Khuzwayo will be out for 11 weeks after he picked up and injury.

Khuzwayo recently had an ankle operation after he picked up an injury during the Nedbank Cup game against Stellenbosch FC.

Just few days before this announced, it was reported that the goal stopper will be given time off. However, today Komphela revealed that the keeper will be out of actions for at least eleven weeks before he can resume training with the team.

The Amakhosi’s head coach did say that their ‘medical room is empty’ aside from Khuzwayo’s long-term issue, which bodes well for the club as they go into their Nedbank Cup clash with Acornbush United and the business end of the Absa Premiership season.

Khuzwayo has played six games for Chiefs in all competitions this season, however, the baton as Itumeleng Khune’s understudy now appears to have been passed to young Bruce Bvuma.
