Los Blancos are comeback kings of La Liga as they fought their way back on the road to their 33rd Spanish title.

Zinedine Zidane’s side have perfected the art of the away comeback, and it could well lead them to the La Liga title

If Real Madrid are to win La Liga this season, they can credit their comeback prowess away from home as a key reason.

Real, who are playing against Bayern Munich on Tuesday – rested Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema.

Zidane’s men grabbed a vital comeback win at Sporting Gijon on Saturday. Down 2-1 in the second half, Alvaro Morata and Isco scored to give Los Blancos a 3-2 away victory.

With Isco’s late winner, Madrid are now tops in La Liga with 10 points won away from home from losing positions.

The win away in Gijon has put Madrid six points clear of their title rivals Barcelona at the top of the La Liga table having played the same number of games.

Barcelona host Real Sociedad tonight, with their next La Liga match against Madrid in El Clasico next Sunday.
