Mamelodi Sundowns records a second win against Free State Stars with a goal from Motjeka Madisha just before half-time at James Motlatsi Stadium.
The home side gave a good account of themselves in the opening exchanges with Paulos Masehe pulling the strings in the midfield for the Bethlehem based-outfit.
Percy Tau should’ve broken the deadlock for the visitors in the 19th minute when he eluded the off-side trap to get onto the end of Mzikayise Mashaba’s pass, but the forward’s first-touch let him down.
Sundowns continued to probe and were unlucky not to break the deadlock through respective efforts from Karma Billiat and Tau towards the end of the first-half, but the breakthrough finally arrived when Madisha volleyed home Billiat’s corner on the stroke of half-time.
After receiving the man-of-the-match award, Madisha said, “I also give me the motivation to work hard more.”
