Thamsanqa Sanweni Joins Orlando Pirates

Thamsanqa Sangweni has joined Orlando Pirates from Chippa United. The 28-year-old has penned a three-and-a-half-year contract with the Mayfair-based outfit that will run until 2020.

As quoted by the Orlando Pirates website, Thami said that he is happy to join the club and he wants to help his team bounce back to where it belongs.

“I am very happy to have joined the club. I look forward to make a positive contribution to the team and help the team bounce back to where we all know it belongs.”

“I would like to thank from the chairman to the staff and the supports of Chippa United for all they have done for me, I will forever be grateful,” Sangweni said.

Mabena Move To Chiefs Coming Closer Daily

The Naturena-based outfit are reportedly interested in securing Ndumiso Mabena’s services for the next season. Platinum Stars and the 30-year-old have not agreed on a deal and it is believed that Kaizer Cheifs are the front runners for his signature.

According to Francesco Ferreri of On the Ball Sports Management who represents Mabena confirms that he is now a free agent.

The Groblersdal-born player made 31 appearances in all competitions for Platinum Stars last season scoring 3 goals and assisting 7 times.

Cheifs Have Confirmed The Signings Of Radebe And Zulu

The Naturena-based outfit have begun strengthening their squad by securing Zimbabwean international Teenage Hadebe and Philani Zulu from Marizburg United.

Speaking to Kaizer Chiefs website, Bobby Motaung has said that they have been working throughout the break to finalise some of these deals.

“We need to make sure that Coach Steve (Komphela) and his new assistant have a strong team that will compete fiercely for the new season.

‘’We welcome the duo to our stable and hope that they will live up to expectations and make our supporters happy,” added Motaung.

“We have been monitoring them and we really feel they could help improve our squad,” concluded Motaung.

Stars Confirm Troughton Signing 

According to Kickoff, Free State Stars have appointed former Stellenbosch FC mentor Sammy Troughton after parting ways with Serame Letsoaka last month. Troughton has penned a two-year contract with Ea Lla Koto, he will be assisted by fellow newcomer Selaotse Mosala and David Vilakazi at the Bethlehem based outfit.
