Poelano Sadick (22) is a dancer, singer and actor. He grew up in Hamanskraal, Pretoria and his love for the arts has carried him to where he is today.
He knows nothing else but the arts, he believes he was born to be in the arts and make a contribution to this beautiful industry. He is Art.
He first discovered that he could sing when he was in Grade 5. He was taught choral music and that was the first genre of music that showed him that he had potential and can take the arts as a career. Dance and Acting has always been part of his life and he has always had an interest in both but the love grew when he started practicing them when he was studying the arts anyone of the school at the State Theatre.
“I chose the arts because I am an emotional person and I have realised that the only way I can express myself is through the art,” he said.
In 2015 he tried studying IT at the Tshwane University of Technology but because of some financial constraints and a lack of interest for the course he dropped out to pursue the arts.
“Art is my calling, it has drove me from where I was to where I am today and I must admit everything really happens for a reason,” he added.
He is part of the South African State Theatre Youth Choir under the direction of MandlaNtlaks who is Poelano’s inspiration. He mentioned that he always get some courage from Mandla and adding to the fact that his choir mates are kind and taking care of each other.
He would love to work with Frank Ocean in the future and he would love to be a world recognized dancer, singer and actor.
He is PlavinyoSadick on Facebook and Reconciliation on Instagram.
