Baxter Names Bafana Squad To Face Burkina Faso

Bafana Bafana coach Stuart Baxter on Wednesday named a 25-man squad for the FIFA World Cup qualifying clash against Burkina Faso on Saturday, October 7, in Johannesburg.

As expected, Itumeleng Khune has cracked the nod having successfully recovered from a chest infection which saw him withdraw from the last squad. 

The South African Football Association (Safa) said that there’s an international friendly lined up, but said the opponents will be confirmed later. 

The squad:
Goalkeepers: Itumeleng Khune, Wayne Sandilands, Ronwen Williams

Defenders: Morgan Gould, Erick Mathoho, Reeve Frosler, Thami Mkhize, Sifiso Hlanti, Thulani Hlatshwayo, Tebogo Langerman, Clayton Daniels
