A clash between Boroka FC and Mamelodi Sundowns was a battle field as the Brazilians thrash Bakgaga 4-0 in a match played Tuesday night at Lucas Moripe Stadium.
An energetic start for both teams showed they were willing to leave the pitch with three points after the match but an early spot-kick taken by Motjeka Madisha saw Sundowns leading in just two minutes after the starting Whistle.
Themba Zwane furthered the lead for Masadawana by 2-0, with Percy Tau striking twice with no luck of a goal.
Pitso Mosimane’s side were determined to panish Boroka as the game continued to favour them and an early substitute for Boroka was needed as Macha went out and Matloga came in.
First half ended with Masandawana Leading 2-0 and Boroka taking the strain.
Two minutes after the second half began Percy Tau tripped his side lead with a finish from inside box dinx the ball pass Virgil Vries, Sundowns was leading 3-0.
Pitso Mosimane, Sundowns head coach, decided to make a change in the 67th minute – pulling out Vilakazi, who had been booked, and he introduced George Lebese.
Tau’s brace quadrupled the Brazilians lead to 4-0 with a setup from Billiat in the 71st minute, as Baroka continued to struggle to contain the home side.
This was perfect anniversary present from bafana ba style to their coach Mosimane as yesterday he was celebrating five years with Sundowns.
These results put Sundowns straight to first position with 19 points, while Bakgaga slip down to second spot on goal difference with the same points as Sundowns.
