Wits Edge United To Climb Second From Bottom Of The Log

Bidvest Wits recorded only their third win in the league this season with a 2-0 victory over SuperSport United at the Bidvest Stadium on Wednesday night.

Wits has moved away from the bottom of the table above Ajax Cape Town thanks to Bongani Khumalo and James Keene directing them to a 2-0 win.

The Braamfontien outfit went to  the game meaning business as they were hardly needing all full three points than the Tshwana side to move away from the relegation zone, as the Clever boys next four fixtures are tough,they will face Chippa United, Bloem Celtic, SuperSport again and Kaizer Chiefs.

Khumalo scored a great half voly in the 16th minutes before Keen doubles three minutes later beating Reyaad Pieterse in the near post.

Meanwhile Trailing by two goals, United looked for a way back into the game Thuso Phala’s shot went across the face of goal 15 minutes before the end, while Nkhatha forced Buhle Mkhwanazi to deflect his effort into touch minutes late.
