Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela has come out to praise his new recruit Leonardo Castro who is yet to make his Debut for the Glamour Boys due to unfinished paperwork surrounding the player’s eligibility to play for Chiefs.
The Columbian striker arrived at Naturena from rivals Mamelodi Sundowns towards the end of 2017 and will surely be a major boost when it comes to Amakhosi’s goal tally. Komphela is aware of the challenge his team have in front of goal and is eager to get Castro playing to get the goals coming.
“We are waiting for him to get his papers and as soon as that happens, he is ready. If he had them last week, we could have introduced him against Polokwane City, so we are desperate to get his papers. The guy is a finisher, he is unbelievable, he is class and that is what you want,” said Komphela.
Provided Castro’s paperwork is done and dusted by the end of the week, then he will likely make his debut for his new club when they travel to Polokwane to face Baroka FC on Sunday afternoon.
