With no Champions league to focus on and seating nine points behind the La liga log leaders Barcelona, Atletico Madrid hosted Sevilla in the first leg of the Copa Da Rey, Wednesday evening Where Madrid were able to beat Sevilla 2-1.
It was the man in Black Sevilla who started the match on the front foot after Pablo Sarabia did well to bring the ball under his control before latching a shot that sealed wide of the bar. Atletico Madrid Coach Diego Simeone was seating easier on the bench, but not for long Sevilla equalised as Moya failed to keep out deflected strike. There was more drama later on the match as the visitors completed their come back.
A better lost for Simeone charges as they will return for a second leg away game at Sevilla.
