Mamelodi Sundowns striker Jeremy Brockie has revealed his craving to get his first goal for the club to ease the pressure to deliver for his new club.
Brockie joined the Brazilians in a multi-million rands deal from SuperSport United and is tipped to be a hit at Chloorkop. The striker who has scored 54 goals in South Africa has admitted he is still trying to find his feet at the club but is confident the goals will start coming once he gets the first one out of the way.
“When you get to a new club, you always want to find your feet and put the ball in the back of the net. I didn’t have too many chances against City, disappointed with the header that I had against Chiefs. I’m slowly getting closer and closer and I’m sure once that first one comes, there will be no pressure on me whether from the technical team or players,” explained Brockie.
“They know that it will happen when it happens. Once the first one is off my back, it will start flowing from there”, he added
The striker is hoping he can use the opportunity against National First Division outfit Cape Town All Stars in the Nedbank Cup on Friday night to open his account for the Brazilians.
