Musician Chicco Twala’s son has denied claims that he murdered former Bafana Bafana captain Senzo Meyiwa.

Longwe Twala broke his silence during an interview on Metro FM on Thursday.

But a number of seemingly contradictory statements caused a stir on social media, with many users speculating on his involvement.

Twala says it’s not true the gun used in the shooting was his father’s. He also claims he ran out of the house when intruders entered but was able to describe the suspects.

Twala said he left his phone at home, but later said it was in his pocket.

He said he’s already been questioned by police, and urged them to stop pointing fingers.

Meyiwa was shot dead at the Vosloorus home of his girlfriend, singer Kelly Khumalo, in October 2014.
