The Premier Soccer League DC has released a statement regarding the eligibility of Tendai Ndoro to play for Ajax Cape Town this season, also revealing the date in which the matter will be heard before the committee.
The Zimbabwean striker has already featured for the Urban Warriors against Polokwane City and former club Orlando Pirates. He already has a goal to his name as he scored on his debut for Mushin Ertugral’s side.
Ndoro joined Ajax from Al Faisaly in Saudi Arabia during the January transfer window, shortly after leaving Orlando Pirates late last year. However, the issue is that according to FIFA laws, a player can be allowed to be registered by up to three teams between transfers in one season but can only play for two clubs in a single season.
The Press statement from the PSL regarding the issue reads:
The Premier Soccer League Disciplinary Committee will sit next week, on 15 February 2018 for the two protests by Polokwane City FC and Orlando Pirates FC against Ajax Cape Town FC.
The two clubs lodged protests ahead of their Absa Premiership fixtures against Ajax Cape Town for fielding of Mr Tendai Ndoro.
Ajax Cape Town played Mr Ndoro against Orlando Pirates on 31 January and against Polokwane City on 04 February 2018.
