Raising future leaders by making a difference in the community by the support that consumers gave in purchasing local merchandise. Their support birthed the Back to School Stationery Drive Donation by an entrepreneur and designer Siphumelelo Phat Sii Kwinana (24).

Styles by Phat Sii is an Authentic Wear, clothing brand. That was established in 2015, the aim of the brand is to unite Urban Culture wear and Proudly South African Ekasi street wear.

The Back to School stationery drive is about giving back to local schools in communities. An idea for starting this initiative was sparked by the appreciation that Styles by Phat Sii exclaimed with gratitude to the overwhelming support they received from their local clients or customers when they continuously purchase their clothing line.

“It is a way of giving back to show our appreciation,” Kwinana said.

They believe that it is important for every child to have basic schooling needs in order for them to actively participate in their learning at school on a daily basis.

Donations will focus on schools in the Alexander Township. Styles by Phat Sii and Phat Sii Holdings have decided to expand their avenues after witnessing the tremendous growth in their business this year from their clothing brand.

For every profit made from the clothing line a certain percentage of every item brought by customers will contribute to the stationery donation for local schools that they have allocated to work with in this initiative.

“We accept donations of basic stationery items from everyone who is willing to assist and make a difference in our communities,” said Kwinana.

This inspires and motivates them to bridge a gap for future leaders and entrepreneurs, in order for them to be equipped with daily school needs to produce excellent results in their participation at school.

The Back to School Drive began on the 20th of January 2018. Check out their website and contribute in the aims of making a difference in our communities.
