With only 10 Premier Soccer League games left, it is down to the wire to which club will be crowned PSL 2017/18 season Champions.
The Republic Mail looks at Mamelodi Sundowns’ season performance.
Seven time title PSL record holders, Mamelodi Sundowns stand as the most convincing team in the PSL this season. The team boasts talented players such as Percy Tau, Themba Zwana, Thapelo Morena and Tiyani Mabunda in its corner. Masandawana top the league with 38 points in 20 played games so far.
Sundowns currently stand as the league’s team to beat this season. The team from the capital will face two tricky fixtures as first they play hosts, Free State Stars, who are in third position on the standings and only nine points behind.
The second game against SuperSport United in a Tshwane derby on 24 February will see a challenging game between the two, with Sundowns bringing a solid attack from the back and United looking to close the gap.
