Mandla Msibi is one of the leading contender to replace African National Congress (ANC) deputy president, David Mabuza. Msibi spoke for the first time, addressing a fully packed hall in Elukwatini, according to 013 news website.
Msibi, who is the speaker of the Mbombela municipality, came to the area together with the leadership of PRET, which included founding president Themba Sgudla and secretary Sunday Mathebula and took to the stage to address a score of people who had come to the Elukwatini hall.
He is being supported by the organisation to take over from Mabuza who was elected in Nasrec in December.
