Bloemfontein Celtic central defender, Lorenzo Gordinho says he will never expect a defeat when he faces his parent club, Kaizer Chiefs at FNB Stadium on Saturday night.
23-year-old, Gordinho left Amakhosi to spend one year on a loan spell with Free State’s, Bloemfontein Celtic.
“Well we gonna start working for the weekend, preparing for a game I’m looking forward to,” Gordinho excitedly told kickOff.com.
“I am looking forward to the Chiefs game… coming up against my former teammates, I don’t know how do you say it? Coming up against teammates, friends (laughs). That’s going to be a big game. I definitely want a win, I won’t accept a loss.”
Gordinho feels there should be no hard feelings, as Amakhosi loaned him to Siwelele.
“Personally I don’t look at it like that. And in terms of the team it’s an important game because we need the points. We’ve been so bad in terms of results, so we need to turn that around and it’s a good opportunity for that you know. So it will be a good game, good competition and we’ll do our best you know.”
Celtics are currently in the 12th spot with 25 points after 20 played games so far. They are yet to win a game after a five win-less game streak.
Meanwhile Chiefs will look to close the gap with log leaders, Mamelodi Sundowns when they lock horns with Celtic over the weekend.
