Mosimane Concerned About Soweto Derby Result

PRETORIA: Pirates will host Chiefs in an encounter that will give an indication on who are PSL contenders for 2017/2018 season.

Mamelodi Sundowns Coach Pitso Mosimane admits he is in pole position to win the Absa Premiership but also believes that the result between Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs will have an influence in that happening.

Pirates will host Chiefs at the FNB Stadium in a match that would see any losing team in the tie be on the verge of falling out of the title race. Sundowns currently hold a four point lead over 2nd placed Pirates and 5 point lead over 3rd placed Chiefs.

“Be careful of your talk, we are still in pole position neh. You must understand the games are getting lesser, the games are getting lesser. You know what is going to happen there. How do you know Chiefs is going to win the derby and is gonna beat Pirates? Are you sure? And you know what you usually get there,” said Mosimane.

Sundowns will also endure a tricky trip to AmaZulu on Friday night and will watch on the derby the following day and hope for a draw between the two Soweto giants. The Soweto derby will kick off at 15h30.
