The Democratic Alliance (DA) will be holding various events in commemoration of human rights day all around the county on Wednesday.
The DA in KZN will remember the fallen heroes with the community of Mkhambathin; “KZN Leader, Zwakele Mncwango MPL, together with Msunduzi Constituency Leadership led by Mergan Chetty MP and other public representatives, will commemorate Human Rights Day with the people of Mkhambathini,” noted the DA in a statement.
The DA in KZN insist that even after 24 years of Democracy, the people of Mkhambathini are still under oppression; “after 24 years of democracy, the people of Mkhambathini are still languishing in poverty with high unemployment, water scarcity and lack of infrastructure,” said the DA.
The DA has aims to change minds of the people of Mkhambathini and win their votes ahead elections; “the people on Mkhambathini will have a chance to vote out the corrupt and uncaring ANC in the upcoming by-election on the 4th of April 2018,” said the DA.
The Provincial Leader will engage with communities and toys will be donated to a local crèche.
Meanwhile, DA Leader, Mmusi Maimane, is expected to unveil a plaque at Talisman Foundation in Johannesburg to commemorate the hundreds of mental ill South Africans who lost their lives in the Life Esidimeni tragedy.
