Rustenburg-Platinum Stars head Coach Roger De Sa believes his side can retrieve and fight back to play PSL promotional play-offs.
Dikwena are at 16th position on the summit of the log, with only 17 points after 24 games they have played this season.
Things do not look sharply for the Rustenburg outfit, and time is against their side. Stars have to win the remaining six PSL games in order to battle against relegation, but De Sa remains optimistic.
“Right now yes, we would take that on [a play-offs spot],” De Sa tells KickOff.com
“But we will continue taking it one game at a time, to try to do the best we can.”
Dikwena are yet to win a game this year, and due to FIFA international break, Roger has all the time in the world to go back to the basics, and try to regroup.
“The break is always good,” De Sa says.
“It gives you time to rest physically and mentally. Some players had no break due to [last year’s] CAF involvement of Platinum Stars. We also know that it’s the last short break until the end of the season.”
Platinum Stars will resume relegation battle on the 4th April against Baroka FC at Royal Bafokeng Stadium.
