JOHANNESBURG: Attention will shift between Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates on Wednesday night to see who will be in pole position to win the league title.

Both the teams will be playing at home, with log leaders Sundowns hosting 11th placed Chippa United at the Loftus Versveld Stadium. On the other hand, second placed Pirates will be hosts to 9th placed Bloemfontein Celtic at the Orlando Stadium.

Although the Brazilians have a game in hand, they will know that it is a must for them to get a win over Chippa United if they want to brush off the pressure being applied to them by the Buccaneers by remaining on top of the table by the end of the night.

If Pirates beat Phunya Selesele and Downs drop points against the Chilli Boys, they will end the night sitting on top of the table and probably weaken Pitso Mosimane’s ambitions of winning the league title once again regardless of the extra game they have to play.

Both games will take place on Wednesday night, kick off for both is at 19h30.
