On Tuesday night defending champions Bidvest Wits managed to stretch their nine unbeaten run, when they take on Maritzburg United at Bidvest Stadium as the Braamfontein outfit won 2-1 and rose into top eight position.
On Wednesday night all eyes were on two fixtures which included, log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns versus Chippa United and second position Orlando Pirates versus Bloemfontein Celtic.
Mamelodi Sundowns kept their fine form by trashing out Chippa United 2-0 to maintain their lead at the summit of the log thanks to Percy Tau and Khama Billiat’s goals on the night.
Meanwhile in Soweto, Orlando Pirates title hopes were kept alive, as the Sea Robbers past Bloemfontein Celtic to record a 2-1 win on the win. Pirates are one point behind log leaders Sundowns who have a game in hand, and it is still early to confirm who will be crowned new PSL champions came the 12th May.
