CAPE TOWN: Ajax Cape Town could find themselves in a sticky situation which is not ideal for their mental strength in their mission to save themselves from being relegated.

The case surrounding striker Tendai Ndoro is still pending but it now seems there are discussions which are in place to give a verdict on whether the points they accumulated with Ndoro on the field could be docked. The Cape Town based side could lose up to 7 points which will see them grow roots at the bottom of the table.

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) however distanced themselves from those allegations made by the Urban Warriors that there are plans of deducting points from them in a statement released in midweek.

Part of that statement read:

“The league also distances itself from comments made by Ajax Cape Town alleging that the League, through their Senior Counsel in court, had made a commitment on the nature of the outcome of the matter including the decision on whether there will be points deducted or not from the Member Club.”

Ajax are 6 points above bottom placed Platinum Stars who are in action at home against Polokwane City and could be motivated to win the game knowing that their survival is possible if a decision on docking of points for Ajax is made.
