JOHANNESBURG: Relegation threatened SuperSport United will welcome in-form and title chasing Orlando Pirates on Wednesday night.
Matsatsantsa find themselves in a sticky situation where they have only managed to win 6 times in their 25 league outings, leaving them in a staggering in 14th position with 27 points, only 6 points clear of bottom placed Platinum Stars and 3 points clear of 15th placed Ajax Cape Town.
They have not won any of their last 5 matches, with their latest outing resulting in a 1-0 loss to Polokwane City in the past weekend.
On the other hand, their opponents on the night have won their all of their last 5 league matches and currently sit in 2nd position with 45 points, four points behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns and will certainly want to leave Pretoria with maximum points to close that gap.
The two sides have met 25 times., with Matsatsantsa winning 6 times and loosing 10 times to the Sea Robbers who have won 12 times and lost out only 4 times and 9 of those matches resulting in draws. They last met in December last year in a match which resulted in a 0-0 stalemate at the Orlando Stadium.
The match will take place at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. The game will kick off at 19h30.
