JOHANNESBURG: The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has announced changes that the game between Mamelodi Sundowns versus Bidvest Wits will be played in the evening.
The match was arranged to play on Saturday afternoon, but now it will be played in the evening on the same at Loftus Stadium, kick-off time 6pm.
This is the second game to be affected after the Kaizer Chiefs and Platinum Stars Saturday clash was moved to Sunday, all this changes is to honour the late ANC stalwart’s funeral of Mama Winnie Nomzamo Madikizela-Mandela.
“The Premier Soccer League confirms that the Absa Premiership fixture initially scheduled for this coming Saturday afternoon (15h00) will be moved in light of the funeral of the late struggle icon Mama Winnie Nomzamo Madikizela-Mandela,” read a statement from the league.
“The ABSA Premiership fixture between Mamelodi Sundowns and Bidvest Wits (scheduled for 15h00 at Loftus Stadium on Saturday) will now be moved to 18h00 at the same venue. The date remains the same (Saturday).
“The League wishes to thank our broadcast partners, sponsors, Member Clubs, supporters and other stakeholders for their understanding.
