Pretoria: Goals from Themba Zwane and Sibusiso Vilakaz in the fisrt half gave Memelodi Sundowns a stunning 2-0 victory over Bidvest Wits on Saturday evening, at Loftus Versfeld.

Second half got under way, Wits behind with two goals down, Sundowns had a clear chance when substitute Thapelo Morena had an opportunity to make it three but his poor shot on the ball went straight to Keet’s legs.

From 60 mintues unit the last minutes of the game, the students dominated the ball possession, making beautiful touches, knocking the ball from one another to other, but the luck wasn’t in their side as nothing gave in.

Morena again got a clear opportunity on the 80th minute with a grass cutter counter attack pass from Zwane, Morena’s speedy run easily past Wits keeper but instead to put the ball in the net with his left foot, he was too slow as Edwin Gyimah made a brilliant slide tackle to give Sundowns a corner kick.

Mamelodi Sundowns hang on with a 2-0 victory over the outgoing PSL Champions Bidvest Wits, Sundowns taking full three points to take their tally to 52 points, leading Orlando Pirates with six points.
