PRETORIA: Sundowns will look to extend their lead at the top of the table when they host Arrows in on Tuesday night.
The Brazilians currently top the standings by three points over second placed Orlando Pirates with a game in hand. A win over Clinton Larsen’s men will see them stretch their lead to six points and be in pole position to win the league, considering they will have three games left to play.
Golden Arrows who were not in action during the past weekend are in 12th position with 31 points and a win can see them sneak into the top 8 region. A draw however can also see them climb two places higher in the league table.
The two teams have met 26 times, with Sundowns winning times and Arrows winning 6 times. The last time the two teams met, the Brazilians walked away 1-0 victors away at Arrows and will want to get another one over them to ease the pressure from Pirates.
The match will take place at the Loftus Versveld Stadium in Pretoria on Tuesday night, kick off at 19h30.
