JOHANNESBURG: Kaizer Chiefs have released an injury update of the following players, Ramahlwe Mphahlela, Erick Mathoho, Teenage Hadebe, Gustavo Paez and Emmanuel Letlotlo ahead of their Nedbank Cup semi-final with Free State Stars.
Chiefs Physiotherapist David Milner has provided an injury updated on the club website regarding the progress of six players who have been in the sidelines.
“Ramahlwe Mphahlela has recovered from the hamstring injury and will undergo a final fitness test this week.
“Erick Mathoho is progressing well after the head injury sustained last week against Chippa United. We are monitoring him and will have an update before the trip to Durban.
“Gustavo Páez has joined the team training after suffering a calf muscle strain two weeks ago.
“Teenage Hadebe is under assessment from an ankle injury sustained against Chippa United. He is doing well and we hope he will recover in time for the Nedbank Cup semifinal this weekend.” The Zimbabwean served a one match suspension against Platinum Stars.
“Emmanuel Letlotlo is involved in full training and is currently loading to get match fit.” The young striker has not played this season due to a knee surgery.
Meanwhile Kabelo Mahlasela is also making improvement on his way back by nursing his knock.
The Glamour Boy will host Stars at Moses Mabhida Stadium in a Nedbank Cup Semi-final tie on Saturday, Kick-off is at 20:15pm.
