PORT ELIZABETH: Chippa United coach Vladeslav Heric has labelled their next Absa Premiership encounter away to Bloemfontein Celtic as a “must win”.
The Chilli Boys now sit in 7th position with 34 points and a win in Bloemfontein can keep them inside that region as they will have only 2 games left to play in the current season. The Serbian coach believes that they have to go to Celtic with confidence to fight and get maximum points.
“It is a must win game. We must go to Bloemfontein with a belief that we can win the game. There are no easy games at this stage of the season as everyone is fighting for something,” said Heric on the clubs website.
Heric further went on to downplay their 1-1 home draw with Ajax Cape Town last weekend and feels that his side could have done better and won the game to ensure they got to 36 points and start cementing their targeted top 8 finish.
“I will ask my players to show more aggression and energy at our home games. Our home record must improve, that is for sure. I do think that despite the draw, the team has improved tremendously and I applaud my players for their effort. We will go to the training ground and correct it and try to be ready for the next game,” he added.
The last three games of the season for Chippa are a trip to Celtic next Tuesday, followed by their last home game of the campaign against SuperSport United and a visit to Polokwane City on the last day of the season.
