Mashaba To Attend To Concerns Of Residents In Kaalfontein

JOHANNESBURG: Mashaba will hope to drum up support for DA candidate, Kgeletsane who is running to become a Councillor in the area. 


City Mayor Herman Mashaba will on Saturday meet with residents of Kaalfontein, Midrand in Ward 92, to discuss their concerns, which include illegal dumping, unemployment and a lack of electricity and proper flush toilets.


The Mayor will be accompanied by Democratic Alliance (DA) Constituency Political Head, Mike Moriarty, Member of Provincial Legislature Janho Engelbrecht, Councillor Medeleine Hicklin and Ward 92 Candidate Otto Kgeletsane.


The event will take place at Drake Koka Primary School in Kaalfontein, Extension Two on the 21 April 2018. Thousands of Ward 92 residents are expected to take part in the by-election on Wednesday, 25 April 2018, to elect a new Councillor.


The Ward includes areas such as Kaalfontein, President Park, Glen Austin, Vorna Valley, Kyalami, Ivory Park, Rabie Ridge, Ebony Park, Mayibuye and the Kanana and Meriting informal settlements.


The DA said the Mayor will be visiting the area with Kgeletsane as a Councillor candidate will give residents a chance to consider their vote very well and vote for the rightful candidate.


“This gives them a chance to vote for DA candidate, Otto Kgeletsane who vows to speed up service delivery and bring about Total Change in Ward 92,” said the DA.
