Nedbank Cup Semi-Final Preview: Maritzburg v Mamelodi Sundowns

PIETERMARITZBURG: Mamelodi Sundwons will travel to KwaZulu-Natal to lock horns with Maritzburg United in the Nedbank Cup semi-final clash at the Harry Gwala Stadium.

Maritzburg saw themselves in the last four of the tournament afte deafeting Bloemfontein Celtic 2-1 at home.

Faldu Davids’ team is their first Nedbank Cup semi-final ever since the competion was introduced. United will approach the game against Downs with high Confidence on their side, following an impressive form  recording straight seven wins, two draws and one defeat in their last 10 games.

On the other hand Mamelodi Sundowns advanced into the semi-finals as they pasted Cape Town City 2-1 away at Cape Town Stadium. Sundowns are on song, singing “Umoya wami uyavuma” (My Soul says yes), the team from the capital are unstoppable, undefeated in their last 15 game in all completions.

Masandawana are close to be crowned PSL Champions and will look for a double by adding the Nedbank Cup accolade.

However Meeting The Team Of Choice will not come as a walk in the park as they also hope to end their trophy drought.
