BLOEMFONTEIN: The Chilli boys are above in 7th place while Phunya Selesele are one place below them in 8th position of the Absa premiership table.
It will be an affair between two teams that currently share a common goal of finishing inside the top 8 at the end of the season when Bloemfontein Celtic host Chippa United on Tuesday evening in a round 28 Absa Premiership fixture.
The two teams are on the same number of points, with 34 each and only separated by goal difference. The Chilli boys are above in 7th place while Phunya Selesele are one place below them in 8th position of the Absa premiership table.
The home team Celtic have only won one of their last 5 fixtures, losing out twice and drawing twice in the process. Their last game was a 1-1 stalemate in the Free State Derby away at Free State Stars on 14 April.
The Chilli Boys have won one match better than their opponents as they’ve won twice, lost twice and drawn once in their last 5 league fixtures. Their last outing also resulted in a 1-1 draw at home with relegation threatened Ajax Cape Town.
The winner in the encounter may get to feel some sense of security in securing a top 8 finish as teams as far as Polokwane City in 13th position are capable of sneaking into the top 8 just after one league round.
The two teams will walk the talk when they meet at Seisa Raamabodu Stadium on Tuesday night, kick off is at 19h30.
