PIETERMARITZBURG: Absa Premiership log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns dropped points at Hurry Gwala Stadium following a 2-2 draw against Maritzburg United on Wednesday night.

Sundowns blew their chances to continue with a six point gap over Orlando Pirates, who easily crushed Bidvest Wits 4-0 in a game played behind closed doors.

In a post-match match interview Pitso ‘Jingles’ Mosimane praised both clubs for their fantastic football performance.

“Good game of football. This is what we need to give to the people at the stadium and the people watching at home,” Mosimane told SuperSport TV

“Both teams pressing from the top, there’s this thing of sitting back, parking buses and playing five at the back. This is how football is.”

But within a space of time coach Pitso caught SuperSport Presenter Phumlani Msimbi by surprise with comments, regarding the PSL Coach-of-the season candidate.

“Fadlu Davids is a very good coach. He is my candidate for my coach of the year. Not the Cheerleaders at your [SuperSport] studios, who are unbelievable and doing it against me.”
