Despite the fact that he is leaving the Brazilians end of this season Khama Billiat has put so much determination for the team in the past matches that he has played for Sundowns.
Whether it’s the Absa Premier League or the CAF Champions League the Zimbabwean born player is putting so much effort in his game time.
The PSL Champions had to Settle for a 1-1 draw in their clash against Wydad Casablanca in their group C match in the Champions League Saturday.
Khama and Sibusiso Vilakazi’s combination in the first half gave Casablanca a problem as they had to defend in most times in the game.
Billiat has been with Sundowns, and has won two league titles, the Nedbank Cup, Telkom Knockout, Caf Champions League and the Caf Super Cup trophies.
Godwin Emmanuel, Toni Silva’s representative has confirmed that the former Benfica and Liverpool youth forward has completely signed his Contract with Sundowns.
“I can confirm that Toni Silva has signed for the current champions, Mamelodi Sundowns. I strongly believe that Toni will fit into the team because of his style of play,” said Emmanuel.
Toni was also linked with Cape Town City but Sundowns seems to have had a better offer as he signed with them.
With Khama leaving Pitso Mosimane knows the dangers of losing a player of his calibre.
“We have to revive him and make him fit. You also understand that we are losing Khama [Billiat]. So, we need to strengthen. He is 24, turning 25,” Mosimane told TimesLive.
The Brazillians will have to play last match in the Absa Premier league despite knowing that they are the Champions.
Their next encounter will be against Bloemfontein Celtic at Dr Molemo Stadium, 15:00pm. On the 16th they will go head against Barcelona at FNB Staduim.
