Ramaphosa Sends Mabuza To Russia

JOHANNESBURG: Ramaphosa will host the heads of state from the Brics bloc in a summit in South Africa in July from the 25 to the 27.

Presidents Cyril Ramaphosa has appointed deputy president David Mabuza as his special envoy to the Russian Federation where he will meet the Russian president Vladimir Putin, the Presidency said in a statement. 

Ramaphosa looks forward to strengthening the already existing political, economical trade between South Africa and Russia. “

The deputy president will also among other things convey Ramaphosa’s message to his Russian counterpart on his re election in March 2018 and his subsequent inauguration as the president of the Russian Federation,” he added. 

Russia and South Africa are amongst other three nations in Brics, which include China, India and Brazil. Ramaphosa will host the heads of state from the Brics bloc in a summit in South Africa in July from the 25 to the 27.
