Dikwena To Face Leopards In Second Chance Opener

JOHANNESBURG: Platinum Stars who were previously relegated to the NFD but found their way into the playoffs in Ajax Cape Town’s place will play Black Leopards in the first playoffs match in Thohoyandou on Wednesday.
 
The South African football Association (SAFA) ruled that Ajax Cape Town were guilty of using Zimbabwean born striker Tendai Ndoro in three games which were rules to be recorded as 3-0 forfeits to the teams he played against, one of them Platinum Stars. 
 
The ruling has seen Ajax Cape Town relegated to the National First Division and Platinum Stars finish on 15th place, a relegation/promotion playoffs. Stars had initially been relegated with one game to go in the season after loosing to AmaZulu.
 
Dikwena have now made their way to Thohoyandou in Polokwane to take on Lidoda Duvha at the Thohoyandou Stadium in their first match in their second chance to life in the country’s topflight football for next season. 
 
The match will kick off at 15h00 on Wednesday afternoon.
