JOHANNESBURG: Platinum Stars will host Jomo Cosmos in their second promotion/relegation playoffs match knowing that anything besides a win is likely to set their wheels off their plans to regain their PSL status for next season.
Dikwena are currently staggering at the bottom of the mini table consisting of three teams after losing out in their first match in Thohoyandou, losing 1-0 to log leaders Black Leopards to put them in an unpleasant situation in their last chance for redemption.
Their opponents Jomo Cosmos are below Black Leopards in second place after playing their first game on Sunday in Vooslorus which resulted in a 2-2 draw against Joel Masutha’s Black Leopards who have started the playoffs on a positive note.
Both Platinum Stars and Jomo Cosmos will be playing their second game in the play offs knowing that the 3 points in the game are vital to their promotion target. A win for Cosmos will put them level with leader Leopards and a win for Dikwena will put them one point behind the leaders with two games to go.
The match will take place at the Moruleng Stadium in North West on Wednesday night. Kick-off is scheduled for 19h30.
