JOHANNESBURG: The next relegation/promotion playoffs encounter between Platinum Stars and Black Leopards may prove to be a determining factor as to who may be set for promotion to the country’s top flight football for next season.
Lidoda Duvha were victorious in their first leg match against Dikwena a 1-0 victory at the Thohoyandou Stadium. They then went on to draw 2-2 against Jomo Cosmos at Vooslorus in their second game of the playoffs, putting them on four points and top of the mini three team table.
Dikwena will go into the game with a win in the back of their minds, knowing that anything less than maximum points will lead them to the National First Division where they were initially relegated to before a ruling on Ajax’s Tendai Ndoro case was made.
Roger De Sa’s men are bottom of the log with one point in two games, following their loss to Leopards and their recent 0-0 draw with Jomo Cosmos. The game on Saturday will be their last home game before going away to Cosmos in their last game.
A draw or a win in the game will surely put Leopards who were relegated form the PSL in 2013 in pole position to once again play flight football as they may have to secure a draw in their last game which will be at home against Jomo Cosmos who are second with two points after two games.
The game between Platinum Stars and Black Leopards will take place on Saturday night at the Moruleng stadium in Rustenburg, with the game to kick off at 20h15.
