JOHANNESBURG: With the most club’s in the country’s elite league having confirmed their commencement with pre-season already, there are some notable names who are still in search of a new home following exits from their respective clubs.

Here are some notable players still searching for a new club:

Tefu Mashamaite

The towering defender is yet to find a new club to ply his trademark after being released by SuperSport United to end a rather unfruitful spell with Matsatsantsa after returning from Europe.

Tshepo Masilela

Masilela was released by Chiefs after they opted against extending his stay at Naturena after being at the club for more than 5 years. The 33-year0-old former Getafe wingback is said to be trying his luck in South America according to his agent Mike Makaab.

Tendai Ndoro

The 29-year-old Zimbabwean striker recently parted ways with relegated club Ajax Cape Town. The former Pirates poacher will be no short of prominent offers as he is already being linked with SuperSport United and Chiefs.

Sibusiso Khumalo

The former SuperSport left back parted ways with Chiefs whom he joined two years ago from Matsatsantsa but never established himself at Naturena. However, the 28-year-old defender was heavily linked with AmaZulu but nothing has yet materialized from those reports.

Kingston Nkhatha

The Zimbabwe-born striker was released by SuperSport United whom he joined in 2015 from Chiefs.  With his age at 32, it is no surprise that his name is yet to be linked with a move.

Ayanda Gcaba

The 32-year-old centre-back parted ways with Orlando Pirates after a lengthy spell with them. The Port Shepstone born defender requested he is released from the club following his frustration on the bench. He is yet to sign with a new club.

Marc Van Heerden

The left-back parted ways with Pirates after reportedly being unsettled after he survived an attempted highjacking in Johannesburg. He was linked with Chiefs but that could not materialize considering Chiefs are a Gauteng club.
