JOHANNESBURG: Kaizer Chiefs legends Cyril Nzama and Thabo Mooki have spoken out their thoughts about their former team ahead of the new season, believing that the team will do well and challenge for major honours.
Nzama who is one of the left backs the Glamour Boys have ever had to their disposal was quick to downplay the arrival of Zimbabwean star Khama Billiat who joined Chiefs on a free transfer from Mamelodi Sundowns. He believes Billiat will prosper at Naturena.
“Billiat will add value and experience. I have seen Letlohonolo Mirwa in action. The left-back is another good signing. While Virgil Vries compliments nicely the goalkeeping department. Billiat will combine well with Leonardo Castro, as they did at Mamelodi Sundowns. I feel positive about the upcoming season,” said Nzama on the clubs website.
His former midfield maestro teammate Thabo “Tsiki Tsiki” Mooki weighed in on his former club on their coaching department where they are yet to cover. The former Glamour Boy who made 343 appearances and scored 37 goals in his 15 years at Naturena believes that the new coach will be quick to make a difference when he arrives.
“A new Coach will always motivate the squad because the players want to impress the new coach,” said Mooki on the club’s website as well.
