Real Madrid Starts Says Goodbye To Cristiano Ronaldo

MADRID: Cristiano Ronaldo deserves his place in Real Madrid folklore, according to Sergio Ramos, with the club captain paying tribute to his now former teammate.

Juventus have snapped up the winger for 105 million euros and Ramos sent out his thanks to Ronaldo on Tuesday, referring to him by his Spanish nickname of El Bicho.

“Cristiano, your goals, your numbers and everything we have won together speak for themselves,” tweeted the defender.

“You have deserved a prominent place in the history of Real Madrid. The fans will always remember you.

“It’s been a pleasure to play by your side, El Bicho. Strong hug and good luck!!”

Meanwhile, Real left-back Theo Hernandez also went on record with a message to Ronaldo following his exit.

“A pleasure to have played next to the best in the world,” he wrote on social media. “I wish you the best at your next club.”

“It has been a pleasure to play by your side, you have been an example in every way,” added Marco Asensio. “I wish you good luck in your new stage.”

Casemiro also paid tribute to Ronaldo, tweeting: “With you I learned, I enjoyed and I won. Thanks for everything, my friend.”

Lucas Vazquez labelled the winger ‘the best’ with Nacho Fernandez thanking Ronaldo for his leadership in Madrid.

“A pleasure to defend this badge with you,” tweeted the defender.

“You are and will always be number one. All the Madrid fans will remember you as a leader. Good luck in your new stage El Bicho!”
