JOHANNESBURG: South Africa’s Under 20 National team Amajita played a 0-0 draw against Malawi in the first leg third round of 2019 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations on Sunday at Moruleng Stadium.
They were a slight changes made by Amajita Coach Thabo Senong to the team that played a friendly against Zambia where it ended 3-3.
Amajita took full control over the first half as they took over their opponent’s half. The home side would have lead by three goal before half time as they missed so many chances to lead. The defence of the National Junior team was on full force as the visitors were struggling to create decent chances.
Amajita’s solid performance in the regard was a result of good communication led by centre-back, Givemore Khupe, goind into Midfield, and then final third.
Coach Senong made two substitutions which saw both Duncan Adonis and Kodisang make way for Nkosingiphile Ngcobo and khanyisile Mayo in the 65th minute respectively, to help South Africa’s aggression in attack.
The game ended with both teams not being able to find the back of the net.
