JOHANNESBURG: Highlands Park coach Owen Da Gama says his team can never be ready enough to take on the challenge of competing in the top flight.
The Lions Of The North returned to the PSL in respectable fashion after a successful season in the National First Division (NFD) which they won with goals filled 19 points difference. They will need to find the form they finished in the last term as Da Gama is convinced they have to be at their very best to be successful.
“We can never be prepared enough for the PSL. We’d like more time to prepare but we have to be realistic because we have to play. All in all, I’m happy with the preparations we’ve been having towards the new season.”
“We respect and love the PSL, we have to compete at our very best because of that what happens in the PSL. So we will have to step up and fight,” said Da Gama
Highland will face the tough task of playing a determined Orlando Pirates team in the first match of their season in the PSL at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday night at 20h15.
