PRETORIA: Reigining league Champions Mamelodi Sundowns have captured the signature of Maritzburg United’s youngster Lebogang Maboe just a day before they commence with the 2018/19 season.

The youngster has been on Pitso Mosimane’s radar and has finally put pen to paper and will move to Chloorkop following a stellar 2017/18 season he had with the Team of Choice under Fadlu Davids.
The Brazilians have once again beaten Kaizer Chiefs to another signing as the 23-year-old play maker was also reported to being chased by the Soweto giants but they lost out yet again.
The former Mbombela United player was named the Nedbank Cup’s player of the tournament and most promising player at last season’s performers awards for his contribution in Maritzburg’s best season in their history.
Maboe’s signing shows more intent from the Brazilians who have already recruited the services of Lyle Lakay from Cape Town City,  Mosa Lebosa from Ajax Cape Town and Andile Jali who was on the books of Oostende in Belgium.
