JOHANNESBURG: SuperSport United midfielder Teboho Mokoena says he is relishing his return to Matsatsantsa’s fold ahead of their first home game of the season against AmaZulu on Wednesday night.

The 21-year-old midfielder missed Matsatsantsa’s season opener against Cape Town City which they lost 2-0 in Cape  Town as he was serving a suspension he got at the end of last season. He says he is ready to contribute on the night and bag maximum points to redeem themselves.
“We lost our first game but we are hoping to bring back our pride tonight. The team is looking good and ready to pick up maximum points at home,” said SuperSport on the club’s website.
The SuperSport Youth Academy product says he does not believe that his team lost against City mainly because they are not meeting standards and is confident that they can turn their fortunes around, starting with a win against AmaZulu who were winless in their first game of the season.
“I didn’t form part of the team that travelled but in my opinion, I don’t think our performance was below par. I’m positive the team will regain confidence and get the positive result.
“Also, I’m happy to be part of the team for this important match tonight and I hope we all come to the party and bring back the smiles to our supporters,” he added.
Kaitano Tembo will be looking for his first win since being made permanent coach at the club when they host AmaZulu at the Lucas “Masterpieces” Moripe in Attridgeville Stadium on Wednesday night, kick off at 19:30.
