DURBAN: A 45-year-old woman has been stabbed to death allegedly by her 42-year-old boyfriend at Nkonyana Road in Umlazi south of Durban.
Police spokesperson Nqobile Gwala says the suspect allegedly stabbed the woman in the chest at her home and she later died in hospital.
The motive for the killing is still unknown at this stage and a 42-year-old suspect has been arrested. The man has been charged with murder. He will appear at the Umlazi Magistrate’s court on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the trial of the man accused of stabbing his ex-girlfriend seven times and killing her has been postponed in the Kimberley High Court.
Siyanda Gxwati briefly appeared in the court on Monday morning to face the murder charge against him.
In an incident that shocked the community of Kimberley, Gxwati allegedly stabbed his ex-girlfriend Refilwe Letebele at her home earlier this year and thereafter attempted suicide by slitting his own throat.
