JOHANNESBURG: Orlando Pirates Coach Milutin Sredojevic has aired his disappointment following Bucs’ 1-0 home loss to Bidvest Wits on Wednesday night.
The Students edged the Buccaneers to record their third win in their opening three 2018/19 Absa Premiership season with the aid of an own goal from Gladwin Sitholo. Micho was not happy about the result as he watched his team command the game but failed to make any of their efforts materialize.
“I’m very disappointed with the result but the approach that we had with patient build-ups in order to tire the opponent, we had been a dominant side and created chances. We dominated in all statistical aspects but in that one aspect that counts we conceded a goal from an accidental situation. This is what cost us. Accidents happen in football.”
“We need to accept it and see if we can be much more effective going forward. From the chances that we created, we could have easily won the game. However, with one moment of lapse in concentration this is how it is in football it cost us to lose the match,” Micho said after their loss against Wits.
The Sea Robbers have started the season below expectations as they have only managed to collect four points in their opening three league matches and also exited the MTN8 Cup in the first round in a season where pundits had forecasted them to start the campaign on a high note.
Pirates will seek for redemption when they travel to Steve Komphela’s Bloemfontein Celtic who are 2nd on the League Table following their two wins in two games on Sunday afternoon at the Free State Stadium.
