JOHANNESBURG: ANCYL presidential frontrunner and music mogul has opened a computer lab centre at a Schoool.

The African National Congress (ANC) Youth League treasurer-general, Reginald ‘Reggie’ Nkabinde, through his foundation, Govner Reggie’s Foundation has donated and officially opened a computer lab centre at TM Letlhake Senior Secondary School in Westenoria, West of Johannesburg.

Nkabinde who is vying to replace ANCYL president Collen Maine, also donated school uniforms, sanitary pads as well as free WiFi internet which will enable the school kids to do research adequately.

Speaking during the opening of the computer lab centre, Nkabinde said, “let’s all strive to position our schools at the cutting edge of change.”

Nkabinde is the favourite to replace Maine in the upcoming elective congress.

Earlier this week, Nkabinde took “a swipe at his opponent for the ANC Youth League presidency, when he told the Sowetan on Monday he was “not a puppet” who needed the backing of top party leaders to get elected.

“Others have defined themselves as puppies, and for me, I am not going to sit with former President Jacob Zuma and President Cyril Ramaphosa and claim to be supporting either of them. In fact, I am going to force them and pull them together going into elections,” he said.
