JOHANNESBURG: The African National Congress (ANC) held its National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting over the weekend.

It is understood that the alleged plot to oust ANC president Cyril Ramaphosa by former president Jacob Zuma, Ace Magashule and others was discussed at the NEC meeting.

Political Analyst, Dr Ntsikelelo Breakfast says it is quite clear that there seems to be bad blood between Ramaphosa and Magashule.

“Of late we heard the SG taking a swipe at Ramaphosa saying you are the product of white monopoly capital and he is the product of the masses of the people. Before that, we heard also Ramaphosa rebuking those people who are alleged to have met behind closed doors,” said Dr Breakfast.

He adds that there seems to be this tension between the two leaders and he doesn’t believe that they are now a united front.
